Safety of naproxen sodium compared with placebo, ibuprofen and acetaminophen: a pooled analysis of eight multiple-dose, short-term, randomized controlled studies
Short-term use of non-prescription doses of naproxen sodium results in a similar safety profile to placebo, regardless of the age of the population. The pooled analysis did not find an increased risk of adverse events with short-term use of non-prescription doses of naproxen sodium compared with placebo, or compared to other common analgesics.
